Pilot House 1

Pilot House is an 8-bed CILA for individuals with developmental disabilities. It was established in September 1988. Pilot House provides supervised 24 hour care to its clients. Services are provided in a coordinated manner through an interdisciplinary approach that emphasizes personal choice and encourage independence in all aspects of their lives.

JoAnn Keller is the owner of Pilot House and Eric Chilman is the Resident Service Director.

The facility is located in Cairo, IL. The facility is named after the Cairo Pilots. Pilot House sits on Front St. right in the middle of town. Across the street from the facility is a famous (to Cairo) Bar-B-Que Café (Shemwells). The facility is located within walking distance to several stores.

The City of Cairo and the area surrounding it has a lot of interest and history. The main point of interest is where the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers meet. The residents drive to the area for sight seeing and a great place for picnics.
